[Starts writing] This is my first blog entry. Unfortunately, I haven't figured out what it'll be yet. But trust me, it'll be awesome.
*Dances around the house in excitement*
*GETS A BRILLIANT IDEA!* Okay... Okay.... I got this.
So... *Deep Breath* If you've been following me on Instagram for longer than a really long time, you may recall when I reached a following of 10,000 followers, I promised to answer some questions since I've been a mystery for far too long. What questions? Don't remember? I don't blame you! It was way too long ago, and I've taken forever to get down to answering them *cough* I'm totally not going to lie, I've been lazy!
But to refresh your memory, here is a small selection of the questions that were asked:
There were a lot more interesting questions that I would love to answer, and so I'll do a part two to this blog series in the near future.
Answer to @_azmyra:
If my life was a book, I would have named it "Ishaqzaadeh," which would definitely have been so much better than the original Bollywood version. In terms of the name, the ending zaade refers to being the "son of" a particular bloodline in Persian influenced languages. For example, shahzaade meaning "son of a king," and sherzaadeh meaning "son of a lion." The first part of the name Ishaq is a vulgar/slang pronunciation of Ishq (meaning "passionate love"). The title may be loosely translated as "Rebellious Lovers" or literally "Children of Love".
How would my story end? It would end with the happiest ending in the world. *blushes* King Arslan would get his Queen, and they would live happily ever after with lots of giggles, and pillow fights, and of course never a dull moment. The climax of the story would be like most eternal love stories, fighting against fate. I'd want my story to give people hope in happy endings. *sigh*
My worst nickname? *recalls memories and laughs out loud* Well... I am fairly light skinned, and when it gets cold... I literally become a tomato (and also when I blush.) In high school I would blush when I talked to girls, and thus one of them decided to call me "Mr Blushy Blushy!" One of my teachers ended up hearing her call me that, and he started to call me that as well. It wasn't the worst nickname, but definitely one that I remember.
Five most important things in life: Religion, Family, Love, Respect, Setting Goals.
One talent that I wish I had was more creativity. They say you can learn anything in the world if you put your mind to it, but I do believe some people are naturally gifted, and the true essence of art can not be taught. You either have it or you don't. I wish I had more of it.
What excites me most is anything that requires taking a leadership initiative. Building things, projects, making speeches - I guess it comes with being a Leo *Omg he believes in horoscopes?*
If I sneezed on anyone, they'd be blessed. *aah... ahh... achoo!*
Answer to @damsel_gem:
My inspiration is life. I always take the chance to repeat myself, and I'll gladly say it again... "Writing can not be forced." Sure, you can try. But it won't be the same as when it is truly driven by life kicking you in the bu*t. That is one of the reasons I have always avoided collaborations, unless I was obligated to be nice. I feel collaborations are two people forcing to synchronize their 'awesomeness' together. It just doesn't work. Every writer is unique, and to try and force it to fit with another is something I genuinely do not believe in doing.
I reflect on life and day to day experiences and that is how I write something everyday.
I think every writer, regardless of their following size on social media is genuine. I would advise everyone to just be themselves instead of imagining themselves to be a 'famous' writer.
Writers block can sometimes be a blessing. *pretends to be wise* Sometimes you end up feeling so much of one thing that eventually everything you write ends up being the same. Writers block gives you a little break. A chance to think clearly, and perhaps to clear your mind. The best thing to do is take notes on how you feel, and keep thinking of different way of expressing. Even when you're not feeling anything, that in itself is a feeling! Think deeply, and describe it. *adjusts nerdy glasses* Come up with a list of keywords of the effect that certain feeling has on you, such as: "Numb... empty.... lost.... confused." Now think of how else you can describe those feelings? Think outside of the box, and the words will eventually come to you.
Answer to @amalkazz:
*blush* Let's just talk in circles and avoid the question... so yeah like... *rambles aimlessly for 5 minutes* You know what I mean? Right? Awesome!
Answer to @hersilververse:
I think pushing yourself to success should be something everyone should get a grasp of. It is important to know what your goals are and to chase them, because no one else will chase them for you. We are all unequal in resources, but it is the limitations that we place on ourselves mentally are what hold us back. Fake it till you make it, look like a million dollars, dress for success, do whatever it takes to remind you where you're headed, and have good expectations from your Lord. Allah says, "I am as my servant excepts me to be." [Sahîh al-Bukhârî (6856) and Sahîh Muslim (4832)] Your mind plays a big role in where you end up, so its important to never let go of positivity. Optimism and unfaltering faith go a long way.
Answer to @wajeeha95:
I study Law. *adjusts nerdy glasses again* I've done my undergraduate in a multi-disciplinary Honors program in political science, policing, international human rights, criminology, legal philosophy, and linguistics. I am a LL.B candidate.
Answer to @x.h.0711:
My inspiration does have a beautiful name, *cluelessly looks around* but lets keep her a secret shall we? *evil grin* Lets just say my biggest muse has been life herself, and my affinity for words has helped me describe her on paper.
Answer to @angelxovo:
Well... I had a feeling someone would ask that! *tries to keep a serious face* Fortunately, *adjusts nerdy glasses again* Your question is missing a question mark, so I'm confused... Is that even a question!? God bless technicalities... *chuckles like a evil genius*
